Life is Hard

1 Nephi 17:41
..."He sent fiery flying serpents among them; and after they were bitten he prepared a way that they might be healed; and the labor which they had to perform was to look; and because of the simpleness of the way, or the easiness of it, there were many who perished."

There are characters and stories in the Book of Mormon that frustrate me.
I find myself thinking, "Seriously you guys?" when I read about characters faced with such an easy choice, who then sit around and do nothing. They had such an easy decision! All they had to do was turn their heads.

And then I think about myself.
I think about the little things during the day that I should've done, but didn't, and I think "Seriously?"
Maybe things were hard for the children of Israel. Maybe they had it just as hard as we do. Maybe they had it just as easy as we do. If you honestly think about it, most of us never go through any truly hard choices. There is right, and there is wrong. Everything is laid out for us, so why don't we just turn around and look?
You know what is right, so do it. It's that simple.

Life is hard, living the gospel isn’t.
